Excavation is messy, and it can disrupt landscaping, driveways, and other exterior décor depending on the location of your pipes. Our team does our best to limit the damage done to your yard while offering the expert repair you need.
When You Need Plumbing Excavation
The main water and sewer lines that provide and remove water from your home are installed below the frost line in your soil. This protects them from freezing during extreme weather.
These pipes are often excavated because of:
- Soil changes: We live in a constantly changing environment, and severe weather conditions can cause soil to shift and adjust your pipes, causing damage. The more changes there are over time, the higher chance your pipes may crack or collapse, requiring a repair.
- Tree root invasion: Trees near your home may create beautiful landscaping but are a poor choice for your plumbing system. Tree roots will grow in the direction of water, causing them to invade your pipes and create clogs.
- Blockages: While many blockages can be handled with non-invasive techniques like hydro jetting, if your pipes are too weak for this service, they may need to be excavated to clear the clog and repair the line.
- Repiping: Your plumbing system is meant to last over 20 years with proper maintenance and depending on its material. Replacing your water or sewer line requires a complete excavation.

I had called A Team to come and clear a drain in my bathroom sinks. But since Andy was at the house I asked him about repairing a shower faucet valve that had leaked inside the wall. Andy looked over what he would need to do the job and then sat down and wrote out a complete list of job estimates depending on how far I wanted him to complete the job.
After deciding on the option that would not only do the shower valve but also replaced the section of the drain pipe that had the shut off valve in it.
I scheduled a date to have the work done and not only was I sent an e mail to alert me they were on their way but also a picture of Andy that would be coming to my house. He showed right on time and got straight to work.
The entire job was completed in just a few hours and looks fabulous.
Once I get the walls closed back in he says he will come back and finish the covers that go over the shower valve and spout.
I have nothing but good things to say about A Team Plumbing and especially Andy . He was easy to work with, completely explained what was needed to do the job and did such a professional repair. If I need a plumber in the future I won't hesitate to call again.- Michael K.
