How Pipe Lining Works

Our plumbers at A-Team Plumbing and Drain will first shut off the water to your pipe and drain, allowing us to work without worrying about water damage. Our plumbers will then clean out the existing pipe to remove any debris or buildup that may be blocking the pipe. 

Next, our plumbers will insert the pipe liner into the pipe and use a tool called a flaring tool to attach the liner to the existing pipe. The liner will then be inflated using a pressure tool, which will attach the liner to the existing pipe and allow the liner to conform to the exact shape of the pipe.

When Pipe Lining Is Not a Good Solution

Pipe lining is an effective way to prevent future problems, but it is not an option for every pipe. Pipe lining is not recommended for pipes that are already corroded or pipes that are too thin. 

Pipes that are already corroded are not a good candidate for pipe lining because the lining will not be able to withstand the same level of corrosion as the original pipe. Likewise, if the pipe is too thin, the lining will not be able to withstand the pressure that the thin pipe is unable to hold.
